During our first ever farm community meeting in January, we watched a documentary about Japanese natural farming guru, Masanobu Fukuoka. His style of farming focuses on doing as little as possible, allowing nature's natural processes to produce their crops. Fukuoka does not till, weed, water, fertilize, or use pesticide. He simply sows seed, adds mulch, and harvests.
February's farm community meeting will focus on another gardening guru, Ruth Stout, from Kansas. Anyone is welcome to join our meeting, meal, and discussion of Ruth Stout and anything else we want to talk about!
Meeting date is Thursday, Feb. 18. We'll start our garden meal at 6:00 in Hoke Lodge at Camp Mitchell.
